Do simulation hours count as placement?
Simulation helps you prepare, but does not form part of the 400-hour workplace minimum in the standard.
What this means for your study decision
Simulation and workplace experience serve different parts of preparation. Under the accreditation standard, simulation is excluded from the minimum 400 workplace hours.
When you receive an attendance plan, put simulation hours and clinical workplace hours in separate columns. If a brochure gives only one combined figure, request the breakdown before deciding whether the course fits your schedule.
