From nursing study to an individual registration decision

Keep admission, approved study, graduate application and employment separate.

Check before committing to study

Match the exact institution and HLT54121 program in Ahpra’s approved-program register. Training.gov.au scope, ANMAC accreditation and NMBA program approval have different purposes. Check dates and conditions.

Complete the program and prepare your application

Student registration is managed through provider-supplied details. Graduates separately apply to Ahpra and must satisfy applicable NMBA requirements, including English and suitability evidence. A certificate alone does not establish registration.

Choose the next role deliberately

ENs work under direct or indirect RN supervision and remain accountable for their own actions. Further RN study has separate requirements; no university credit amount is established here. Migration assessment is also a separate process.

Which three decisions must stay separate?

The national qualification describes the training product. Accreditation and NMBA approval concern the exact program. Ahpra then assesses your individual application against the applicable requirements. The supplied 11 October approved-program guidance still requires graduates to apply and meet the other requirements; being qualified to apply is not a granted registration.
